I. DESIGN SERVICES

LANDSCAPE DESIGN:  Receive a customized landscape design plan, whether you’ve got a small or a large yard, a new construction or an older landscape. A design can include prairie, woodland, vegetable, butterfly, bird or rain gardens plus patios, walkways, decks, rain barrels, or compost bins.  [What is the Landscape Design Process?] 

CONSULTATION: Receive on-site landscape design ideas & suggestions for small areas that don't require a landscape plan.  2-hour minimum.


II. INSTALLATION ASSISTANCE

FOR CONTRACTOR INSTALLATIONS: Good-Natured Landscapes will meet with the contractor to review your design prior to installation and be on-site during the installation as needed to ensure design goals are achieved. Saves time, possible mistakes, and money. Charges on a per hour basis.

FOR DO-IT-YOURSELFERS: We can help mark out planting beds, purchase & deliver plants, and/or layout plants after beds are prepared. Land owners please call 811 before any digging project. Charges on a per hour basis.


III.  GARDEN COACH

Good-Natured Landscapes can work with clients side-by-side to teach you how to maintain a beautiful ,earth-friendly native plant garden.  Save time, money and learns tips and tools of the trade. Charges on a per hour basis.


IV. EDUCATIONAL CLASSES

Denise has given educational programs to garden clubs, nurseries, environmental organizations such as The Center for Green Technology, The Green Earth Institute, The Natural Garden nursery, Wild Ones National Conference, etc. Call for fees & available dates. Classes are ~45-60 minutes long. Class topics include:

  • Cues from Nature: Learn how to mimic nature's genius to create a garden that is more sustainable. Denise shares her tips, observations, and explanations of what we all can do to have a healthier, earth-friendly garden.
  • Wasted Water:  Learn about simple, inexpensive techniques such as rain gardens, rain barrels/cisterns, irrigation, permeable hardscapes and many other conservation and recycling tips for water in our landscape.
